1924 Stutz Model C
A man's fascination of water pumps and gasoline engines spawned the creation of three fire engines companies in Indiana. Alfred C. Mecklenburg started up the South Bend Motor Car Works in 1912 and built fire apparatus. Mecklenburg went to Indianapolis where he and Harry C. Stutz founded the Stutz Fire Engine Co. in May of 1919.
This 1924 Stutz Model C is a 750 Gallon per minute pumper. It comes with a 6 cylinder Wisconsin engine that generates 140 horse power.
